I know you other Mummas can relate.
7:30 this morning, child #1 has a big meltdown over something that was minor to us but a big deal to him. *insert Console*
7:45 - boys shoes, socks, oils, pack bags, leaving in 15 mins.
8:00 - in the car. Boys got your lunch box, water bottle, brain back etc...
child #2 " Oh wait... I forgot my candy canes and Christmas cards"
*runs back inside to get them*
Note: It takes 20 mins to get to school and they boys like to be there at 8:20 because bell rings at 8:30.
Get half to town, as we oiling up, doing yet another 'verbal checklist' - I don't my kids to well.
Me " Got your swimming bag Piper?"
piper "Oh no.. its home?"
sigh.. rings Dad, "you coming to town in the next hour?" Nope hes not.
So turn around back we come home, like the gingerbread man, as fast as we can.
Grab swimming and arrive just in time for school.
phew
I help at school on a Wednesday morning with school banking, i walk around all the classes collecting the banking and get to brae class
"Brae, got your banking?" Nope its still in his bag.
"Brae, why is your bag all white?..."
He's yogurt burst in his bag because he didnt put it in this school bag.
"Brae why is your swimming in your bag, its not swimming day..."
Clean that.
Lucky we had a swimming towel to clean the yogurt mess up.
Positive there!!
Get home and I'm doing biz, chatting to a client etc.. and Noni puts blue tac in the carpet and yogurt on the lounge.
*insert grey hair, frankincense and peace blend for mum*
into town this arvo, go to the shops, do the Mum thing, get them some M & M's so I can pack the car, with as little hassle as possible.
"Mum, Noni just split her M & M in the car.."
sigh...
**insert more frankincense**
Is it bedtime yet?
**insert more frankincense for sleep*
So, how was your day??
